Hi! My name is Adison Kakassy and I work as an assistant planner for knot common events! I began working with Ally when she opened knot common in 2020! My favorite part of each wedding is meeting each couple and seeing the special touches they add to their day to make it their own. If I am not assisting at a wedding you can find me on the lake, at our local Mexican restaurant, spending time with my friends and family, or at the park with my goldendoodle, Tucker!

Hello! My name is Leah Fields and I am the Social Media Specialist for Knot Common Events. I have been working with the company since October 2021 and the owner is my sister! I enjoy traveling, hanging out with my dog Georgia, and trying new restaurants. I love wedding content because it is beautiful and unique to each couple. I also love watching trends evolve and being able to share moments from a couple’s special day.

Hi! I'm Kaitlin! I found my love for planning weddings in 2019 when I planned my own! I loved all the organizing, creativity, and adding in all the tiny personal details to make our day unique and perfect. I loved it so much, I decided to get my certification! When I'm not planning weddings, I'm out hiking or kayaking with my husband and daughter, trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, or planning our next adventure. I look forward to working with you and bringing your wedding dreams to life!

Hello! I am Makayla Johnson and I am one of the assistant planners for Knot Common Events. My husband and I eloped in 2021 in Glacier National Park, MT. I skipped the big wedding for myself but celebrating with others and helping make their wedding day as special as it should be, excites me! I value spending quality time with my husband and doing any outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking and more!

Meet the team!

I am Ally, the planner behind Knot Common Events. I was born and raised in North Carolina and grew up southeast of Greensboro, NC. I recently married my high school sweetheart in January 2021. Planning is my passion. I have always been extremely organized and love a good itinerary or plan. While my friends were watching the Disney Channel, I was watching “Say Yes to the Dress”, “David Tutera Celebrations” and buying wedding magazines. I was able to tailor my college education at Appalachian State University to help make my dream of becoming a wedding and event planner a reality. My favorite part of wedding planning is seeing every detail fall into place and helping couples enjoy a stress free planning experience. When I am not planning weddings I enjoy eating Mexican food, drinking Dr.Pepper, spending time with family and friends, and traveling!
